Why do we call ourselves a tribe?

At Craft Group, we call our employees tribe members. We define tribe as a group of people who come together to protect each other. As individuals, and as an organization, we aspire to live up to the behaviors of a tribe. For us, a self sustaining and interdependent tribe share common attributes such as values, knowledge, celebration, ceremony and a strong sense of belonging. Each tribe member is recognized for their specialized skills and their contributions to benefit the greater good of the tribe. Through these efforts, a tribal culture becomes a self-sustaining place where people want to stay and grow.

Tribe vs. Team: A tribe is a place you belong, and a team is something you play in once in a while. A tribe concept sets the tone for the open communication we need in our company.

We invite you to join us — as an employee, customer, supplier, or interested community member – as we lead our industry globally and fulfill our purpose. Let’s change the way the world brings ideas to life!

Our Golden Pledge.

I am accountable for taking action, asking questions, getting answers, and making decisions. I will not wait for someone to tell me. If I need to know, I am responsible for asking. I have no right to be of ended that I didn’t get an answer sooner. If am doing something others should know about, I am responsible for telling them.

See it + Own it + Solve it + Do it.

Thermocraft
At Craft Group all of Tribe members own and passionately act on The Craft Golden Pledge. Accountability exists when each and every one of us makes the personal choice to take the step to accountability. The Golden Pledge is all about the honesty of communication and the honesty of the action.

VALUES.

The Heart & Soul
of Craft.

Our company values support our vision, shape, our culture, and guide us as we apply our own philosophies and judgments to our work and life.

What are values and why are they important?

Values are the principles that are most important to us and that we feel should guide us: who we want to be, how we treat our selves and how we want to be treated. Think of Values as ethical GPS we can use to navigate through life. If you know your values, you have a direction that points you toward the people and actions and habits that are best for you. Values make it easier for us to around ourselves with the right people, make tough career choices, and use our time wisely and focus it our attention where it matters most. Without a set of guiding values, we might be getting lost. Ultimately, a culture of trust requires that the company’s values and behavior are aligned first and foremost with the people, and not profit. Otherwise, a culture of unethical behavior can quickly take over.

Crafted background

“I believe we are embarking on a very exciting journey together, guided by our values to not only sustain the financial wellbeing of Craft Group, but to use our business as a force for good. I see our journey as an opportunity to tell the world why we exist. I envision a future where our solutions enable our clients to bring sustainable ideas to life. A future, where the products that we design and manufacture make the world a better place by reducing the emissions on our planet. I see a future where all of us, deep down inside know that we did the right thing, had a positive impact, and led with purpose. I envision a future where our kids would want to follow in our footsteps and know we did everything we could to save and sustain the planet for them. I believe that sometimes we need to reexamine the world we avoided to make a brighter future.”

Culture of Learning

At Craft, we don’t make mistakes, we have learning moments. We help each other to turn our mistakes and challenges into learning moments. Learning is part of building a powerful purposely driven organization.
Craft Group is committed to the ongoing development of its tribe. We strongly believe in strengthening our tribe from within. Building a deep bench of great talent and future leaders is one of our strategic drivers and it’s critical to our continued success. All tribe members interested in learning and growing have access to comprehensive development and training programs, formal educational support, and coaching.
What keeps people in organizations from wanting to learn? They look at mistakes as career-damaging events rather than opportunities to learn. At Craft Group when things go wrong, we don’t call them “mistakes”; we call them learning moments. We applaud the opportunity to openly discuss, learn, rectify, grow from our learning moments and share with others to avoid repeated learning moments.
